My X1 is coughing and hanging from cold, new plugs, fresh premium grade fuel and no errors showing up on ECMDriod and tps reset, any ideas?

Cheers,
Mark

Leaky o rings on the fuel pump?

Cracked exhaust?

Leaking inlet manifold seals?

What’s the AFV?

Hi Nick, thanks for the reply.

I think I can discount the exhaust crack as I've just wrapped them because I wasn't keen on the white ceramic coating that the previous owner paid through the nose to have but on but on a plus's side I think it would have highlighted a crack. AFV if I'm reading it correctly is 102.1? Tomorrow I'll start checking O rings and seals, one thing I have noticed is that the pump sounded odd the first time I powered it up after refitting the tank but put it down to low fuel and maybe being dry?

Cheers,
Mark

You are right, I'll take the exhaust off first in case it's sucking air in

Check your Engine Temperature Sensor on ECMdroid, mine had a haywire reading as it goes up to 130°C, and sounded like it was firing on one, cylinder now and again, and bogging down (personally I would rather delete the sensor but realise its part of the mapping  ). my bike is 2001 and has never had one in the 10 years I have owned it, so with all that heat, they must fail. My pump always sounds like its struggling and engine on, if it hasnt been ridden for a while.....
