Hey people,
Having a 03 xb 12s that was standing still for some time Now when at idle it's running okay at around 1000rpm But when giving it throttle it dies Only when blipping the throttle it stays running but backfires sometimes through the exhaust. When riding it pulls strong but goes on and off again like you turn the ignition off and on again and keep doing that.
Did clean the injectors with brake cleaner sprayed in backwards when connected to 12volts Also changed the fuel pump with one known good , because the original one sounded weak.
It has the xb race exhaust on with race ECM. Haven't done any tps reset because that's behond my knowledge and haven't the tools for it.
Could this still be the injectors giving not enough fuel or fuel spray?
The intake manifold gaskets are my next try , but they are not that old.

Sounds like a TPS reset required to me.

Well it took awhile with working on this bike. Did put it on a laptop and it showed that all sensors were bad or not working. Did put another ecm in and still giving the same readings. It could be some wiring in the harness because it did have some wire damage when putting this bike together. So changed the complete wiring harness , started it and still running like crap and in higher rpm acting on and off. Replaced the tps , still running bad , disconnected the O2 sensor and engine temperature sensor , nothing changed only a higher idle. Put the O2 connector back together , no difference. Left the engine temperature sensor disconnected and connected another temperature sensor and pressed it firmly onto the engine head. It reacted with running a bit better , so twisted the throttle a couple times and it responded really good ,no popping and backfiring through the intake. So it looks like that is the issue , well I hope it is So going to try and replace the engine temperature sensor tomorrow or later this week and will find out.
