Hi 1125r owners.

Just made these for the rear end. Still need polishing & the holes boring out so I can get a socket in to tighten them up properly. Pretty simple I know, but should save the swingarm from fall overs.

I'm doing some for the front forks next. Hides the spindle holes as well.

Also gonna do some silver dollar inset alloy clutch & stator side sliders.

Just spring washers & normal washers on under the nuts so clip nice with one or two turns. Thought about pressure on the bearings. They protrude 10mm into the spindle either side, so should double as lifters. Pity, that of the 3 rear lifters I have, none are wide enough for the 1125r swingarm & all foul the frame, so can't use them to lift yet. If I can make some brackets for one of the lifters I'll leave them chunky & useful otherwise I may taper them tomorrow for looks only, if I can work out how to on my lathe. I've not had it long & only the third bits I've made so far. Haven't done anything since school but enjoyed it them & do now & I'll get better.
If anyone wants anything making out of alloy only at the moment & can supply measurements for me to work to, I don't mind trying, alloy isn't overly expensive (these only cost about £8.00 in materials) & a donation to the club funds would be fine as payment as I'm sure we would all like this to keep this site going.
I hope that's ok to say?

Revision to the rear sliders, Conical finish softens the look up a bit I think.

These are patterns by the way just to learn how to do stuff.

Appreciation for the Club & Site is easy, the help & support I've had has been immense. A special mention to Pash & his patience & trust with my PM inquiries & loan of an ECU.
However, making something decent out of alloy, that anyone else wants may take a bit more work to be sure, but I will get there.
I'm retired & no longer have to spend so much of my time with my Father in law who has alzhiemers as he is now in a care home & safe at last.
I bought the lathe last June 2017 to make stuff but have only just been able to get a few goes on it lately. I'm sure I'l get some decent stuff out soon enough when I learn to sharpen the tools & adjust the lathe accordingly. I was quite impressed with the tapers on the sliders but it threw up how much I needed to learn about adjusting the shims that keep the moving parts in line on the lathe.
I'll keep posting pics of stuff I make & improvements in finishes as I go along & eventually the club may get some money from my endeavors.
Till then keep looking at the pics ha ha.

Rear sliders Revision 3,

Replaceable end caps, just a pattern at the moment, may make it fit the whole end so it can take a fall & be replaced. Also hides the fitting nuts. Took me as long to do this as it did to do both sliders, but learning at a rate of knots now.
Anyone got any ideas to improve the design (don't tell me to scrap them & start again unless you have a better idea) or any comments good or bad?
