I realise I am getting rather a bore, having mentioned this previously in 2011 and 2014, however this year there will be a rare 5* Daytime Bore on Friday March 22nd. These do not come around very often (last year there was nothing of any significance) so if you have not seen one before, or wish to experience one again, you will need to be up at sparrow fart.

I can recommend the Severn Bore Inn as a vantage point, and you can still relatively leisurely get to see it's finale, just north of the bridge on the A417, before it clatters into the weir with all the attendant flotsam and jetsam together with the odd surfer
