going to be interesting how many turn up as its not on the air day just a normal weekend and they are having a bike meeting a few days before
It's basically back to how it originally used to be on just an ordinary Saturday , it was moved to the bank holiday Monday to match in with the World super bikes at Donnington the other year when the Hero EBR team brought one of the race bikes after their race on the Sunday, then it stayed on the Bank holiday which East Kirkby had as one of their event days but they got really panicky last year about the amount of bikes having to ride through the thousands of spectators that were milling about, they basically said for us to do it on one of their busy days again we would have to have about 6 parking Marshalls of our own to walk every bike through the crowds to the parking area.
When it moved to a bank holiday lots of members complained and said they couldn't attend if it wasn't on a Saturday so it will be interesting to see how the attendance goes .
Although we don't have an air display we do have the great Sammy Miller as guest of honour with his Moto Guzzi V8 and one other 1950's race bike along with Malc Wheeler with his TT2 Ducati.
