kev on the subject of your tyre delaminating , a friend has had similar problems with a Bergman scooter thing cant recall what make of tyre it was but when it got hot the bumps would appear and he said it felt horrible to ride .
on the Ulysses I’ve been using Maxxis supermaxx Diamond tyres I think demon tweaks still got them on offer

Already mentally planning next year's trip. This time we travelled up Thursday eve after work and stopped at a Premier Inn overnight, travelling on to Channel Tunnel Friday morning, then via. Menin Gate to Eindhoven for Friday night. At the time we didn't realise we could have stayed at the campsite on Friday also, so could have saved money. Sunday we travelled back to Calais stopping overnight before getting the Channel Tunnel home on Monday morning and onward home. A round trip of 795 miles!!!!!

Next year we will catch the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry on the Thursday night, ride the 100 miles to the campsite and stay Friday and Saturday night before returning to Hook of Holland on the Sunday for the overnight ferry back home. This will save 3 nights hotel fees and 400 miles riding!!!

I know the ferry will be dearer but when weighed up against hotel and fuel and food costs, it's a no brainer!! Can't wait :dance: :dance: :dance:

Great weekend with some fantastic people from both sides of the North Sea 8-)

A couple more awards that should have been presented :-

Pole dancer of the weekend - Ronnie :dance: (Truth is she didn't get on the pole but she put on a great display at the front of the stage :ill: )
Master of International Relations - Burning Chrome. Couldn't grasp the assortment of names so amused his table by referring to them as "Dutch Dave", "Danish Dave", "French Dave" and "Estonian Dave" :rotfl:
Estonian Dave took away the longest travelled award after a 2000 kms ride to get there :worthy:

Agree with all the other comments here. We'll be back mob handed next year I suspect 8-)

What a great weekend with like minded folk, good ferry crossings both ways although the entertainment was a lot to be desired. It was good to go away without any trouble from my bike although I rarely get any from my X1, not to be said from my other biking comrades! You’ve read the post so not going into them again. Got to say it was very well organised and big thanks goes out to Ron and Patty for sorting all the venue, band, food and drink. It all went like clockwork and everyone seemed to enjoy it all. Two days in Holland next time to take in more of the country, bring on next year I really can’t wait.

I think I might be able to claim the award for the furthest distance ridden on a Buell over the weekend of 795 miles for a 62 year old female. :D :yup:

Cheers Nutah. I have to say I didn't realise it was going to be quite so far (maybe just 600 max) plus I really wasn't very well when we set off. If the forecast was going to be rain all weekend, we would have cancelled and tried to recoup the hotel/Chunnel costs. However, being the stubborn female that I am, I am so glad I brazoned it out. I had such a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the riding, even if we did see a few roundabouts/junctions more than once lOl There were a few road closures which caused havoc with satnav!!!

Definitely going again next year, with the different route as above. :4roz:
