fuck knows :headbang:

this is why Alison has requested assistance with the forum

we need an I.T. Guru

so as i understand it we (the forum) pay a set fee for tech support .
however like all things the more you require the more it costs.
so we have a basic assistance for a price .
if we pay for Rolls Royce support we could have better however , we would financially
be in the sticky stuff fairly fast.
:eat:

The honest answer is I have no idea. Sadly when Ash retired from here the upkeep of the site fell to the rest of us in the Admin team, & whilst the day to day approval of new members & password resets is ably handled by the team when it comes to real website issues to put not too finer point on it we are clueless
Our new host is better at keeping things running for us but they are not responsible for our website design or updated & Pash & I have no clue as to whether things are supposed to be updated or anything, hence the cry for help.
Derek (Del) has kindly offered to take a look & see if he can learn what needs to be done but until then sadly we are pretty much in the dark if something bad happens other than to hope our host can sort it for us!
If Del can’t help I think we’ll have to look for a company that can make sure things are up to date but all that will come at a cost so I’m sure you can understand my reticence.
Thanks for your understanding :yup:

same here no IT experience, I do get concerned with the lack of traffic on the site and wonder how much longer it can keep going ,the bikes and there owners not getting any younger , great site for info and of course the banter between friends .
if ever the site was to close for good , I would like a copy of the site for all the info ,how to , and problem solving threads , as I do like my Buell and it’s a keeper , might not ride it as much as I should but bit of a new year’s resolution to use it more .

I can agree with that. Not sure what that takes to make happen. All I know is at BWB, info on tubers is pretty old, as in no one talks much about them anymore, and after they reorganized the site when the XBs came, it's not as easy to find that old info as previously. At least not as easy to find the good info.

And it's pretty slow here, for instance, Barney posted that a year ago lOl
