Funnily enough Maz said that as well he said they hide rot. I was reluctant to do it because the bikes so stock but you can only resist modifying for so long.

If you don't mind the look of the front reflectors & bearing in mind there is a safety aspect, just take them off, clean under them & silicone them back on making sure you seal the edges to keep corrosive elements out. That will maintain the "standard" theme.
Hope you enjoy your new bike. JB

It's easy enough to modify the standard on with a hacksaw. There's a Halfords rattle can that matches the colour.

Yeah, bike is looking good. Didn't know about the fork reflectors causing corrosion until I read about it in this thread, will need to have a look at how mine are. I'm also considering a Free Spirits belt tensioner.

I was very lucky to drop on to an advert whilst browsing e-bay in April 19 a 2010 Ulysses with under 700 mile from new 1 owner bike, bought it over the phone within 20 minutes of seeing the ad.

Welcome; there’s a good video on Yutube by Superbikejay just called chopping Buell XB12s fender. He makes it look so easy, but has obviously done it before. Worth a watch before you cut anything. ;)
