Yes l recall he was Dr John Wittner. Used experimental cranks with different strokes for racing. I think the best one was 95.25 x 72mm. A bit more buzzy than a standard 1000 Lemon!

I think they were still doing frame kits until recently? You could build yourself a nice bike for not a lot of money (comparatively speaking)

Correction for anoraks; the earlier motor had 72mm crank throw and 93.25 bore. Later engine had 95.25 bore with 70mm stroke! Rumbaahhh!
