hi my mate has a 09 xb12 ss and he has a stealth exhaust ,k&n filter,remus powerizer.and he still only gets 115mph,i have a 04 xb with same shit on and mine does 140..are the new engines not so quick cheers andrew

Buells have not much top-end in general (long-stroke lump struggles to rev, torque dropping off long before you get near the red-line), but 115 seems rather low, even for the less powerful new engines? Either the engine is still running in or maybe fitting all that after-market junk hasn't been done properly?

115mph and he thinks that is acceptable! My GPZ500s would go faster than that!

Take all the shite off it and try again, if it won't go faster than that, throw it back at the dealer.

04 XB9R , same filter and exhaust on mine , NO Poweriser (tizer)
pulls to 130ish .. BUT on the clock (an we all know how accurate they aint)

my 07 XB12Ss wil do 140 indicated

I had a Vauxhall Chevette (all pushrod 1300cc 50bhp of it) that would indicate 120mph
ACTUAL speed was probably a good 25mph less.
