The big day approaches, I'm doing a performance RWYB on Friday, basically a test day for the weekends Summer National event so hopefully it'll be streamed live on YouTube.
This is the first time I'll be using the nitrous oxide in anger and if I'm truthful I'm equally excited and apprehensive so much so I've already made enquiries about the X1 engine that's for sale on eBay at the moment.
Things almost went tits up after our return from York raceway a couple of weeks back when on the Sunday morning when we got up it was discovered that my wife had suffered a mild stroke resulting in her mouth dropping on one side and her speech being effected, she is thankfully much better already after numerous scans and a couple of days stay in the Liverpool Royal Hospital, one positive things about it is she's off the fags now, previously smoking like a fuckin beagle ;) incidentally it's been over a year since I quit also , as some of you know I never smoked baccy just herb but I was spending a small fortune on it so that got kicked in to touch.
So Thursday night we'll be setting off for the Pod and hopefully make some good numbers, I'll report back soon :yup:

:yup: ...best of luck to you both Gus, hope she makes a full recovery, and you come back with some good numbers and an intact motor.

Well that didn't exactly go to plan, on the 3rd run of the morning I over revved it a bit :oooops: bent the front cylinder exhaust valve and broke the guide, thankfully I have another valve in a spare rear head I have, although I stupidly sold the front one to someone on here who I doubt even has a Buell anymore
Anyhoo onwards and upwards it's only money and time ;)

How did it go on the other two runs, did you get a chance to use the nos?
Did the piston hit the valve to bend it & break the guide?
Just asking, as it sounds like an impact with it breaking the guide as well.
Sorry it didn't go well Gus, you put a lot of work into that.
