I don't know if this should be here but mods please reposition it if necessary.
Just started riding again after being quite ill and the problem is I have a weak left ankle/foot muscle. I can use the regular gear shift on my 1125CR just fine but the shift on my M2 is a bit too heavy until I get some more muscle (if ever due to my inexorable slide into decrepity!). I am looking into a quickshifter/assisted change system to help. I do not want the whole quickshift system but ideally an electro/mechanical device to fix between the lever and the convenient frame tube above. I do not need the spark killer and injection pause that comes with modern systems (obviously it has no injection), just something to push/pull the gear lever and a paddle or switch to operate it. I realise that it may be a bit Heath Robinson but if it gets me away it will be worth it. Anyone able to give any constructive advice.

Hi Duncan

Kliktronix do a full push button system which is supposed to be quite effective. If your bike has the earlier style of gear shifter linkage you could see some improvement by upgrading to the later style linkage. I upgraded my 98 S1W by using the full kit from a 2001 X1. I'm sure if you search on here you'll find a full thread about it.

It has the later linkage but it is my weak foot that can't lift it, it is fine changing down.

Maybe a toe heel shift lever like some older Moto Guzzi have could work !?
It has to be home/custom made for your buell off course!
