Hi, I was reading this

Basically it says that you can fit a 2004 onwards Sporster clutch to an XB just by leaving out a spacer washer.
Does anybody know if this is true?
Or is it more complicated than that?
I do have a genuine reason for asking.
Or should I get someone to ask on Facebook for me?
