Looking to remove fine scratches from my translucent tank and screen and came across "Novus 2 Fine Scratch Remover". Question is, is it any good?

Thats interesting! Spoke to a bike paint re-sprayer about how to reduce scratches, he said he could lacquer the tank. Is this recommended or any possible problems doing that?

Yes I have scratches on mine too and I guess the lacquer would be harder than the plastic? I tried Brasso last night along with T Cut scratch remover and they were ok but not perfect. Anything out there thats the bees knees and returns finish to factory new?

as championed by Adam, and much better value (the bottle is much bigger)... I couldn't tell the difference TBH...

Might do a back to back with the Novus tomorrow night...

...on my cars and bike paintwork, tried alittle on the Buell blue plastics, it was just ok but tbh I didn't reapply and reapply just in case it made it worse! Finished off with Brasso and this...

Does it give you a factory finish? I think the Aeroshell isn't far off...

Bought some of that Novus 2 Fine Scratch Remover as mentioned by Trio as I was visiting the HD shop today. It does remove scratches alittle but does not leave a factory finish I think because the plastic scratches so easy! I mean you only have to polish a bit firmly and you can scratch this plastic it's ridiculous

It's good but not perfect!

Buell plastics rock...

Aeroshell and the other plastic remover are used to clean canopies on aircraft. They wouldn't want scratches would they?

You may have to don rose tinted spectaculars when you look for perfection

You wouldn't be the first person to say that or the last! But for me biking is about looking after it and riding it - I enjoy both - I don't enjoy riding dirty bikes! But thats just me!

And as regards rose coloured specticals - I am a perfectionist - havn't you figured that out by now with the questions I ask It can be a blessing and a curse!
