Has anyone had to replace the frame puck on an XB12?

Are they glued?

Not had to replace, but I've installed them on my 06 12Ss. They are glued on with strong double-stick adhesive pads, and I think you could take them off with fishing line (dental floss type movement) and maybe some WD40 sprayed in there to help loosen things up.

sorry - can't help you with UK - I got a pair for US$45 about a year ago from a HD dealer - but prices have risen. Pucks are different for an Ss than for an S, by the way. Be sure it's for the right model for your ScG.

They usually pull off dead easy......which is just one of the reasons why they're a waste of space.

9 times out of 10 the above scenario will result in frame damage......the puck will look fine but behind it the frame will be dented.

In this particular instance, it was a low speed drop after an encounter with some gravel. Only damage were the mirror, front indicator lens, scratched hand guard and frame puck.

The latter certainly did its job.

Have you removed the damaged puck yet ?

.....seen it loadsa times GM......in fact, I would say 100% of impacts to pucks, no matter how light, result in frame damage.
