Hi all I`ve finally sorted it ,i uninstalled the cable driver as the part i installed was a 2 part file and i loaded the wrong bit and could`nt get the driver to work at all , now that i`ve reloaded the driver and rebooted its all working fine , TPS reset and running a lot smoother....Thanks all for your helpful advice..... :D

No. The ECM is RS232 at TTL level.

You need one of these
