Does it work? Wanted to run the shift light test lately and got no result. The owner then told me, he had never seen the shift light before (bike is for race track only). I looked at the config bits and the shift light was enabled, as expected.

I think it's a 2009 model, but the IC is draining power, so that might be an older version.
The tacho test from the spy software didn't show any results too.

(Dumb question: where exactly is the shift light? :oooops: :oooops: )

I checked the owners manuals for 08/09/10 and none of them mentions a shift light :?

The shift light illuminates the tachometer needle, it changes colour, it's the shift light. Hope this helps :yup:

It comes on to warn about high revs (around 5k rpm I think) when the engine is cold. The shift light on my bike has a switch on the left handlebar - it flashes the headlamp and means, 'I am here ;) now pull over and get out of the fekin' way'

The Tachometer needle lights up bright red when reved to 5k in neutral, and lights at around 10k when in gear (shift light) but is non adjustable.

Which country version are you running - US or Europe? I can't imagine they put all the shift light configuration into the ECM and then don't use it at all.

Perhaps it only works if the IC is set to display miles and not kilometers ?

I wouldn't have thought so but you never can tell ... :o :?
