Nice site, the other forum I've used for the past 2 years has sections for areas. Not sure how they split the country into sections pennines and sw London midlands. This made it easy for local rideouts to be organised, help wanted etc.

Just a thought.

We're a bit more imaginative than that mate 8-)

Organise a ride in Cumbria, and blokes from Dorset will turn up.

Organise a meet in Lincolnshire, and up rolls a Finn.

It's a small world.

Just saves time and effort if you need to meet local without scanning hundreds of posts. Yes lots of rides on other forum are open to everyone including non sv riders. Plus I thought like HD buell would have also gone to chapters - locations.

Also allows for local advice to be posted like road works oil spills deallers tyre sales etc.

As I said just a thought!

ItsIOta just thoughts helps newbue riders get used to rideouts locally rather Than travelling miles to them.

As I said before though I find forums useful as help advice etc is always flowing.

Larigos

ps why did you put a double ill sign in?

I think all that Ash means is that he has had a tough enough time keeping the site running as is is without adding more complications.

Post a date for a proposed ride and see what happens.

Fair enough - just a thought as I said before. Using the forum management sytem you could give other the responsibility for each area section only taking some of the pressure from ash. Would never suggest someone keeps doin more.

Will look for rideouts near me then.....and post others I'm goin on.

Road Captains

Trouble with group rides is if someone wants to turn around at the end of a set of twisties to ride them again, better/faster/just for Hell of it etc, then any more than a 2 or 3 bods makes this a fekin nightmare.
The very idea of a Harley style 'let's be a rolling road block' run wouldn't suit many people here.

The rideouts I've attended work just fine 8-)

Wot Adam sed....

The only times I've been with the Southern Lads when we've got lumbered with the local H.O.G. we've lasted about five minutes before getting bored with the snail-like pace and buggering off

The only "Chapter" that UKBEG will ever have, will be in the Annuls of History. 8-)
