I think you need to find a sympathetic MOT testing station.

I have used two close to me recently.

One did a thorough job, advisory on the exhaust and rear pegs etc., but it passed and that was an S1 with a Buell Pro-Race with no packing in it (it had all blown out of the back).

The other, for my S1w, the guy asked me to sit on the bike and do the lights, then he used the brake tester then he took it for a ride with no lid around the carpark next to his shop (using the pavement to get there). He said "nowt much wrong with that" and gave me a ticket. No advisories at all.

well there shouldnt be anything wrong with it its only just turning 3 years old this is its first mot! i am gonna take it to a place that just mot's bikes so hopefully they will be sympathetic lol coz am not taking the exhaust off and changing everything back just for it to have its mot and then change it all back.... i didnt realise that having that exhaust on it would cause a problem especially as the harley shop put it on before i brought it! along with the frame pucks

So what happens if you have a rear seat cowl ? Does it then become a single seater and negate the need for rear foot rests ? :nutkick:

i never had trouble getting mine mot , as it had no rear hangers and the seat cowl was
allways fitted, suppose it depends on the mot tester .
