Umm. I am not saying that the people here do not know what they are talking about but I knew a guy who replaced an oil filter, on his bike, with a version he thought was right and it fecked the top end. The OEM version had a non-return valve (NRV) in it to stop oil draining back into the sump. The one he used did not.
BANGOk so not quite the same thing as its a cart oil filter. Apart from anything else, like the bikes warranty which will be void for use of non OEM parts, whats £20 on the £6 to £8K you spent on the bike.

I had a Rotax engine, in my RSV-R, and it was great. "Long story short" use what Rotax spec for parts as they do know what they are on about.
You have two Wright Flyers and a SR-71. Service them as befits there type
