Wasn't going to get one, but had a bad day at work on Tuesday and the salesman happened to catch me at the right time (for him). Being a cheapskate, it needed to be at the *right* price...

Besides, my dad thought I should get one as a challenge to set the ECM up...

I've also been told that Uly pegs fit with no mods - but I cannot confirm it.

They do. I bought a set for mine but could not get on with them. If anyone wants to buy them off me they are as new....

Have you seen the 1125R for sale at Silverstone Harley-Davidson in Towcester? (01327 353444)
Not a million miles from Didcot.

Price: £4,495
Reg: KX08EYA
Mileage: 3000 miles
Color: BLACK
Details: BUELL 1125R, 2008 08 Reg , 3,000 miles, MIDNIGHT BLACK.

A bloody Bargain, if you ask me,....... Oh you didn't,...? Well there it is!
No I don't work for them or have any connection with anything related.
I just bought a 1125R last month for £4995 (From a different Dealership) and thought I'd done well!

Have a look.

Monty.

That's the very advert that got me looking at Buells in the first place. Oxford have got an unregistered 08 bike for £6200 and there are plenty of unregistered ones about for £6500.

Are the 2010 bikes really worth the extra?

Well i bought this bike for £3995, not a ex demo, 1 private owner bike, all recall work done except the front brake line which is on order.

The registration is incorrect in the advert though, and 2 of the pictures of the rear are of another bike which has the advertised reg on it ? no idea how/why

I have found Silverstones to be very very helpful so far.

You need to highlight the 'so far' bit.

And today, whilst riding in the rain, I was amazed by the aerodynamics, the fairing keeps the rain off your hands, and the pods keep it off your knees...

Yep, I always take the 1125R when it rains - it is so much better in the wet than any other bike I've owned ...

I ride my TDR when the weathers crap. Its the only bike I actually enjoy riding in the wet, everything else I find a chore.

Get the new flash for the 1125. I was dreading riding mine back in the rain, but it is so much nicer to ride at lower revs now...

I commute an 80 mile round trip daily into the smoke - in all weathers.
With the fuel map update the bike is so much more docile than my old ducati, but you still have the feather ther clutch and throttle to stay really smooth, but soon get used to it.
Fitted the Buell heated grips at the weekend - will start a separate post on that! - but well worth it - too warm this morning!. Also fitted a double bubble for extra wind protection - it works, and HID lights - my filtering seems to have just got that bit easier with ~50% more cars getting out the way as I approach from their rear.
I found the Pirelli Diablo Corsa a bit twitchy on white lines and in the wet - have fitted Maxxis sport/touring variety and they are so much better, and cheaper! Will probably go to Michelin Pilot Power 2CT in the summer.

I have ridden from the home counties across to the Isle of Man twice now and did a 600 mile weekend recently - comfy all the way. In the middle of the 600, mile trip I did a track session at Cadwell Park, on the old Pirellis and kept up with everything else out there.

I have a new exhaust (FMF) on the way and have been speaking with Dynojet about the Power Commander - it's still in development - watch this space.

got my 1125r at the end of june. done just over 10,000 miles on it now, had the mods done, got new tyres, sticking with the corsa 3's as i like them, good in the wet, commuting 135 mile a day at present, in all weathers, as i don't do 4 wheels, gonna get an exhaust for it soon, maybe a free spirits, maybe a hpe, a k&n air filter and maybe a thingy as changing the exhaust requires stuff...i'll get it tuned on the dyna pro and it'll be even more fun!!!! apart from my issues with the rear rhs bearings getting f*$^£*d by the exhaust is great!!!!! :yup:
