So as not to raise any hackles. My opinion is go and talk to some of the better dealers, Blackbear for example. Steve's a good guy and will give you straight advice :shut:  opinoins.

There are some features in back issues of various mags.

Thanks for all the advice, still like the look of an XB though, mmmm Black Bear in Newmarket, advice!! your kidding, my experience both on the phone and visiting is they are not bothered by us Buell boys only interested in the Harley gang, why do I say that??? :o......
Never have they called me after leaving my details, could have sold me a bike by now, :headbang: no wonder the motobike industry is on its knees!! really could have sold me a bike if they had any type of sales process!! Trouble with all dealers they dont have professional salespeople, they have enthuasiasts, no bloody good in a tough climate!! 12 years in the motor trade so I think I know I digress sorry
anyway still on the lookout £3.5k for a nice xb9 or xb12 so any help many thanks xx

First on my list would be a Free Spirits tensioner - Umbongo will be selling one soon, I would beat the rush and PM him. Expect to pay between 80 and 100 notes for it.

Thanks for your kind words, Sean. Spoke to you on the phone a few weeks ago and I'm sure I've met you in the showroom. Sorry you don't think enthusiasm is as important as sales processes but, in my experience (and I have 25 years at some of the most successful motorcycle dealers in the country), the worst thing about the motorcycle trade at present is the influx of rats deserting the sinking motor industry

As for motorbike industry on it's knees you'll be pleased to hear that our figures for this year are about 20% up on where they were last year. As for only being interested in the Harley gang I take your comments a little bit personally. I have been involved with UKBEG since it started in 1999, I own three Buells of my own and I class the people on this forum as my friends.

Don't worry about having burnt your bridges. You have probably the best authorised Buell dealership in the country on your doorstep and we'll still be happy to maintain your new bike and supply parts for it.

Who knows, if you get involved in this community, you might become a regular visitor, indulge in our free coffee and doughnuts and learn a bit about the differences between a car dealership that people visit when they have to and an enthusiastic motorcycle dealership where people come to meet their friends, have a laugh and almost inevitably splash a bit of cash along the way

Steve

I'd just like to add in Black bears defence that the service i received from them on an extremely busy Saturday morning when i had a problem was second to non......all of my friends were amazed at the service i'd received and non of them thought that you'd receive that sort of service at any other manufacturers dealerships anywhere.
When i pointed out to my mates that thas was just the way that blackbear operate because they ARE enthusiasts about what they sell and not just somebody interested in making a quick buck before moving on and selling totally unrelated products just because it's flavour of the month like most car related businesses do.

Sean, the people on UKBEG are probably the pickiest, most informed and definately most intolerant people ever to own motorbikes and your negative comments are the first and ONLY ones I've heard about BlackBear. If they didn't reside at the other end of the Country to me, they'd deffo get my trade. Considering Steve a mate is irrelevant to this but if you were to use their services I guarantee you wouldn't be disappointed, Steve and Jon would treat your bike with the same enthusiasm as if it were their own.
Anyone will sell you a bike, it's when it all goes wrong that a good dealer shines through - and there are many, many examples of BlackBear doing just that documented on this site 8-)
Give them a go :yup:
