Just been struck by something I'm doing for work and it's just as "big" a pita on UKBEG.

We've just acquired a netbook.

PC's with small screens (i.e. NETBOOKS) basically end up seeing only half the page as content. Wondered if you'd considered a reduced size netbook css - happy to help out!

Funny how more people are starting to realise why big pictures are a pain in the arse.

I'm not a Phpbb expert but other BB codes (and HTML) allow you to force size limits Norm! i.e then it doesn't matter! - I'm on one or two that force a width of 150px for this very reason. We do not (for what ever reason).

What I'm offering Ash is to develop one that will autodetect the screen size and configure accordingly - So on the 23" screen I can basically SEE IT ALL - and the Nokia users will just get a url (maybe ;) - that or a big "Yuppie" message )

Just as annoying is that 34SP's basic template is more old fashioned than an S3 owner :old: - A waste on panoramic screens.

The code already exists for phpbb3 to do what Chris suggests in various ways. However, I have a large dose of sympathy for Ash on this since the further you customise a phpbb3 installation, the admin support effort required increases exponentially.

Appreciate that and I'm not forcing ash to do owt - But firefox (as an example) allows LOCAL scripting.

Part of the reason its not going to happen, Steve. We have a nice stable forum, Its not getting pissed about with because 1% of its users cant see the whole screen on their posh blackberries, the rest of the forum members cope just fine.

I know, but the larger audience may not know that, hence my comment, as it's nowt to do with me any more :!:

And I'd agree with that 100%, Ash.
