ukbeg.com costs us around £130 a month to run, not including the huge amount of man hours some of us put in for free. We have our own dedicated server which is why we now have good up time, & we now have an automatic back up so that in the event of another hack we won't lose everything, but as with all things it isn't cheap, ad to this the various licenses etc & we are looking at the best part of £1500+/year.

We are very fortunate that some people donate by direct debit each month, people sell stuff & donate the proceeds to site funds & we usually raise a good sum from Sproutfest.

However if you would like to contribute to the continued running of this site we would be very grateful, any amount is very much appreciated.

Unfortunately we cannot accept Paypal any longer but you can send us a cheque or if you indulge in internet banking we can provide the details of where to send the money.

Please send Alison (holder of the purse strings!) a PM for details

Many thanks

She is a very busy lady, I presume the PMs are still in your outbox ... Just try again, she will read it eventually, and thank you for the donation and support :yup:

Easiest way from here for what you want to do, Fazer is to just scroll up to Alison's post above. At the bottom you will see this icon Image
Just click on it and it will open up a PM box (a bit like a new e-mail box). It will be addressed to Alison, show that it was sent by you and show the title as the heading of this thread. It will automatically enter the text from Alison's post which you can either delete first or type your message to her underneath it then either click the "submit" box at the bottom of it to send or click "preview" so you can check what it will look like before you submit it.

There are other ways but this will be a good starting point for you.

Oh yes, they're all correct, you do have an 09 model, enjoy it 8-)

Steve

I am happy to donate but why not subscribe on an annual basis like other clubs? I love the forum. Lots of interest. Good banter. Useful info. Helpful members(unlike the Morini Forum)
I would find it easier that way and I am sure you would prefer the regular income rather than having to ask us to contribute. Buell may be gone but the bikes will be around for a while to come.

Some people do Morini01! We made the decision some time ago that we would be self funding by those who WISHED to contribute; some do, some don't & that's fine with us. That way no-one can complain, & we don't get disgruntled 'members' wanting their money back ;)

We have a few folks who pay a regular amount into the account every month & we're extremely grateful for this, others do it on an ad-hoc basis. Some contribute enormously to the band-width usage & never donate anything, that's just the way of the world!!

I'm glad you find the site useful, drop me a PM if you'd like the swell the UKBEG coffers ;) lOl
