A couple of others missing from Norm's list: Mr and Mrs T and Mirman and Mrs. Also got to catch up with Sweep and Roy. Good to see everyone but not the turnout that I would have hoped for. Not quite the event that I anticipated either and probably the biggest memorial to our Yoffi is the fact that he wasn't there to lead the merriment
From what I've heard, in previous years the Hoggies would set off in a slow, staggered formation, Yoffi and a couple of others would get bored then create plenty of mayhem and noise treating the H-Ds as mobile chicanes. This year a few set off with the main convoy and endured their parade for varying lengths of time while the rest of us chilled out in the sun at DG20 then went our separate ways.
I pulled my normal trick of breaking off to visit friends and family but had a great ride through the New Forest dodging the Bank Holiday traffic and visiting Poole Quay. Met up again with Crazy Col and Teresa, bumped into Toyboy and met a lady with a lovely Blast that she is looking to upgrade
Then had a warp factor ride home demonstrating remarkably poor lane discipline.
Surely that's the benefit of riding a bike when the roads are heaving with Bank Holiday traffic
300+ miles on the old S1W and loved every minute of it
