I was hoping to make this meet, but due to circumstances beyond my control I wont be able to make it.

Have a good ride out, and I will hopefully see you soon.

Hope to be there about 11-15 Chris with a couple of friends to join us, not sure if for the full duration yet though depends on direction you are planning on going during the day ;)

Kev - the ride/tour is approx. 45/50 miles and finishes near where we start from. Well, that's the plan anyway :D.....

Brian - we wondered what had happened to you, glad you got home OK.

We can't thank you guys (and girls) enough for turning out on such a cold, miserable day. Yesterday's reasonable forecast had changed this morning to light showers .....

Sorry for the filthy bikes but I hope, like us, you think it was worth it. We might have had drizzly weather and for the most part wet roads but that was one of the best 'meet-n-rides' we've held at this time of year. Riding in less than perfect conditions is always more challenging and gives you a high.

The mystery tour worked a treat. From Worksop we headed south through Sherwood Forest on the B6034 and then picked up the A616 down to Newark. From there we followed the A46/A1133 north to the A57, over the toll bridge near Dunham and then west on the A6075 towards Ollerton. I was very pleased with the route I'd chosen having not ridden those roads before.

Our lunch stop was at the National Trust owned Clumber Park. We were certainly ready for loos, hot drinks and food (in that order :D) after the ride.

There were 7 bikes in total, 5 of which were Buells. An X1, M2, 1125CR and 2 Ulysses.

Left to right: Ann, Bel, Kev, Jane, Paul, Dean and Brian.

Had a great day again Chris 8-) Bel and Ann both said what a great bunch of folks are in the Buell club. Ann even rode across from Wales so she could join us on the run today and had a safe ride back home 8-)
I'm sure you'll see them both at more of the rides this year ;)
Great ride great company and great food :D :D Rained ALL the way home but well worth the 185mile round trip even if I did have to wring my socks out when i got home lOl

I wasn’t sure whether or not I would be able to make this, as I had some stuff to do at home, but when Kev said he was bringing TWO guests I couldn’t resist lOl lOl .

Excellent days riding which was not spoiled by the weather at all, thanks to CJ and Jane for organising this, paying the Toll bridge fee AND negotiating entry into Clumber park…

A really nice day, good to meet up with CJ & Jane, Bel, Ann, Kev, Dean and Brian (glad you got home OK). Good food at Clumber too :yup: .

Uneventful ride home, except for dropping down to one pot for part of the journey (wet HT lead I suspect). My poor bike looks like its been dragged through a ploughed field :oooops:

We can't promise to be quite so generous on all UKBEG ride-outs......

Good job the toll was only 10 pence per bike :ill: :D
