Just asked the local stealer abour getting a replacement and a) they don't have one, b) it will take a week to arrive (Their week means 3), c) it's £50

Are there any better alternatives?

yep. i had a fazer for 4 years. a good all round bike if a bit slow steering. when i dropped my xb a couple of years ago i rode home 50 miles. got in the garage, and just happened to glance at the fazers brake lever. fitted straight in no problem :D

i always keep a spare lever, and set of footpegs at home. long trips they come with me

Thanka Mitch, worth remembering, the level from Woz is only £15 inc delivery as he gives a discount to UKBEG members ;) Nice to know the local Yam dealer can help if stuck though.
