Every little bit of extra protection helps - especially in my crowded garage !

As to how good they are - I think that some of it depends on how good the applicator was ... ;)

After all, they are only a polystyrene core with an outer skin of plastic, you really can't expect much from some recycled ceiling tiles. :o  lOl

I'll have you know it's likely to get let out into the wild this weekend ;) ..........been held in captivity for quite a while now ..............over a year in fact since it was born............think it's gonna be hard to not let it off the leash too soon as well.......I've been told they can be quite an agressive breed and very hard to restrain from chasing after other similar breeds..................I'm hoping that if it meets up with some of it's relatives on Sunday with their owners it'll manage to stay calm and not drag me off down the road on my ear :D lOl

Pucks are a complete waste of time IMO......they either get ripped off or just transfer the impact energy into the frame anyway.
Lost count of the number of 'lightly damaged' pucks I've replaced, only to find the frame trashed underneath them once removed.

Pucks only exist because the insurance co.s got wise to early XB's being written off because their sidestands failed

but there again, I have read articles written by people who race XB's or off road with Uly's that swear by pucks, and if you are intending to keep the bike forever and not claim a right-off for minor dings, then it would be better to replace pucks than live with a scrafted/dented frame

Like I said, in most instances they do nothing to prevent damage to the frame

Polystyrene core with a plastic shell......won't protect my frame......but I HAVE to wear similar on my head! That inspires confidence. :?

Cheers, Richard.

I have to ask the question, :maz: , has the frame been damaged underneath every time ?
