I know Jardine is no good apparantly, maybe FreeSpirit?

Before you hand over any cash, do two things;

Check out the welding on Remus cans (I teach welding in Shrewsbury FE college for one day a week to get me out of my office )

and

Check out the cans that Albert is making.


Then decide - knowlege is power

Thank you Adam for that......is Remus quality is questionable? Remus exhausts I think they done a lot of research on their systems. I would more than happy to go with Albert exhaust for XB12X 08 model if someone confirm that my bike/ ecu will cope with his exhaust. I am hade enough with Buell EXAUSTS as I have replaced 2 of them under warranty and now HD offer power cote my exhaust I don’t think it will help but you never know, someone mentioned Oven paint on original exhaust last long time !!!

When a weld failed on my Remus, I contacted them and asked about the welding process because it was clearly inadequate. All they would say was that it was a 'micro weld' - a term which is meaningless
The weld held a circlip that retained the baffle in the pipe, all they would replace was the circlip and not the baffle that shot out and disappeared as a result. I've got a box full of suitable circlips sitting on my shelf but Remus claimed the baffle hadn't failed but were more than happy to sell me a new one via their dealer at some stupid price
I bought elsewhere and after looking at the other external welds on the can, I can only say say they look 'just adequate' rather than the quality you would expect at the price you pay for their product

Only done about 1000 miles on it.

I have a 08 XT and have had about 4 Remus exhausts

Luckily my dealer keeps chasing them and replacing them too

The latest version seems to be holding up

Probably just long enough for my warantee to expire

Perhaps jardine or HP instead?
