Could anyone please help me in identifying this fuel pump:

It's taken from a 1125CR (2008? 2009?), destroyed by accidently connecting to a battery with reversed polarity (so watch out if you have to do so!). This was very bad luck, the guy tried to help me out with a logfile as betatester, but as the 1125's battery was down, he installed one from his XB. Bad idea, as he found out soon  You can imagine that I feel very uncomfortable with the situation now, as a new pump is EUR 580 plus 3hrs of labour. To make things even worse, it was a customer's bike ... :sad1:

I googled and took a look at the Carter website, but could not identify this type. There is a second logo printed on it, labled KAFUS, which is a korean fuel pump manufacturer, and Federal Mogule is one of it's customers.

Diameter is 38 mm, length ~110 mm, and on this http://www.kafus.co.kr/english/img/t120.gif picture it seems to be the third from the left.

Has anyone an idea where to get this one or a substitute?

That would be really great! :worthy:

What I found out in the meantime: a pump that looks similar is used in many "japanese" cars e.g. Subaru Impreza 1.6ltr, also Honda, Daihatsu, Hyundai, Mazda, Suzuki, furthermore Ford (Transit! :P), Holden and Jeep, but they do not fully meet the pressure requirements as listed in the service manual (380-420 kPa) and typically have 350-380 kPa. The ECM would compensate that with a longer injector open time, but if fully compliant pumps were available, I would prefer that one (... if not too expensive).

I also found some part numbers from australian manufacturer Goss: GE043, GE044, GE045, GE149. These also look very similar to the one I got, have 350 kPa@12Volts with Engine on, 600 kPa with engine off.

Bosch, Vierol and Pierburg cross reference lists. Some webshops also offer a search for alternative parts once you got an OE or third party part number. Bosch offers a lot of information, the problem is, to find it.
