Personally, I think the X1 looks much better without them.

That's as cheap as they get really, they fetch more on ebay second hand.
If you buy them and they don't seem to fit properly, don't worry none of them do.

I had the RRC ones from Matt. They fit perfectly when initially fitted (look good too) but the minute you get on and ride the tank cover rides up and a big gap appears between the accent and the cover. This looks far worse than the gap left between tank cover and frame rail if you don't fit them.

The ones on ebay look like a cheap copy of the ASB ones and as such probably won't fit that well in the first place. Save your money.

If I had had a spare and the inclination I might have bonded a set of accents to the cover but it seems like a lot of faffing around to solve a non-problem.

Or paint the accents to match the tank and then you won't see the gap so much.

Thanks all for the response to this  I'm going to take your advice :worthy: and leave it just the way it is 8-) It certainly looks much better without those great bulbous lumps of plastic stuck to the sides :hehe:

I had the ASB accents on the black pig, they fitted fine and looked rather spiffing IMNSHO....however, each to his own....

Ah, but the "leaf blower" is parked on the drive. 2 minutes warming up the X1 and those leaves will all be in South Wales. :yup:
