Due to recent spinal surgery my M2 is not going to be ridden this summer It's ironic but after riding throughout most of the winter this now means I am going to need to maintain the battery in some sort of condition during the good weather.

Can I ask if anyone has a recommendation on a suitable charger to maintain the battery in good nick ? ..........ready for when I am able to get my leg over again !

Cheers - also any thoughts on if I should I drain the tank ?

I have an Oxford one does the job an was around £22

You only need two bikes in life-an S1 and a Multistrada!

Take the battery off the bike and keep in a clean dry place .........inside the house is good then just occasionally top up with a trickle charger but do not allow to overcharge
Or leave with an optimate type charger on all the time.

Battery Tender is the same sort as Optimate - both good, because you can set it and forget it, and they will stop the trickle charge when battery is fully charged.

Optimate 4 at £40 is excellent. Works perfectly.

Thanks for advice guys............will follow the majority and go for an Optimate.

Optimate 3 is cheaper and just as good, not sure if you can still get them.
