i have fitted the reverso on to my R and at 2M @ 6000rpm its 108db  ...so unless you have a friendly inspector at track days i doubt it will be allowed.

scary when you first fire it up... but on the road (with ear plugs) i can live with it... just playing with modifing the lowers now to be a better fit.. as soon as its done i'll post a video so people can hear it..

my CR has been nicked by my father in law at the moment, so still havent got round to fiiting the other pipe to that, but as :maz: has said the workmanship is excellent..

Oh Bugger, I was going to get a Reverso.

Most Trackdays are 105DB and some are even 102db.

I bought a Sound Level Meter from Maplins yesterday for £14. It gives the same readings at 5krpm on my trackbike as do the meters on the tracks, so I suspect it's fairly accurate.

im not sure how they measure them, is it 2m at half the redline? from behing or what? from the back its fine, from the side... you can see each pulse as it blows debris away lol....

i have a calibrated meter, so if someone can confirm the correct way to measure i will do it and post findings.

For a 750+ twin the reading will be taken at 5k rpm with the probe held level with and at 45 degrees to the end of the pipe. (I think lOl ) The distance they hold them away varies  but on average it's about 18 ins.

When my M2 was noise tested at Cadwell the noise tester held the probe, right up to the silencer ( :hehe: ) outlet. It was just below the limit at tick over , and as soon as the throttle was touched it went above. However with no rev counter for reference he eventally conceded. Not before trying with numerous baffle arrangements though........ The last of which ended up spewing itself and a handful of wire wool out onto the track about two laps in  .

I never can understand why Kev is so popular with the ladies - all he does is sit with a beer in the corner of the pub, licking his eyebrows ! lOl
