I received my 'Albert' exhaust for my XB this week - an object of beauty I must say. I didn't know whether to fit it to my bike or put it on the mantelpiece. Anyway, fitted it I did and it went on a treat. Alan's a craftsman, that's for sure.
I asked Alan not to bother with the chin spoiler brackets as I much prefer the look of the bike without it fitted. It somehow looks meaner and more purposeful, more like a 'big bike' - and it's easier to get at stuff.
The silencer is about half the weight of the standard can. I'll take a couple of snaps this weekend if anyone wants a look.

Any plans for a TUBER version - Must be loads of :maz: and :old: out there looking for something as good as (or better) than a Buell Pro-system.

As long as it's QUICKLY put below 105db - I'm fine with bleeding ears. Stups teh wild boars running out in front of you - reverso even maybe :coat:

Excellent! I'm already on my second Buell exhaust so will defo want a stainless one at some point.

The turn outs work a treat by the way. I had to get the missus to sit on the back of the bike to compress the suspension to fit the top one, as the brake hose clip was in the way.

noise tested the round can today
still bloody loud
108db@5000rpm so no improvement
i did ride home with no earplugs and although your'e conscious of the noise when riding through town, the engine itself also is pretty noisey
when you get up to around 80 the wind noise is far worse than the exhaust.
the exhaust is easily acceptable then, dunno what it sounds like going past.
its quite a hard edged sound unlike the boom from a ducati
time for plan c with the silencer

 A big thanks to albert666, I received and fitted my exhaust yesterday. It is certainly a work of art fits where it touches not a mill to spare looks and sounds great if a little loud, not tested on the road yet but will be soon. As I start work at 0500 hrs dont think I will be using the bike for work think the neighbours would be complaining. Lou :yup:
