fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck ...............................bastard alternator fried on the A14 this afternoon .........as Roz said i got recovered to Blackbear but obviously no quick fix.
Steve lent me an XR1200 so it was a toss up whether to carry on and take that to Lauwe or do the correct thing and ride the 100 miles in the wrong direction again and get the X1 ready.
So X1 loaded and i'll be setting off about 5-00am to hopefully meet at the services at 9-00 / 9-30 in the morning ...tis only 240 miles so hopefully at that time of day i should make it .

Yep it was done about a month ago Maz .........I recall that somebody else had their's fail after the upgrade as well.......whether the damage was done prerecall or whether the recall has done no good whatsoever i don't know

Latest in Kev's ordeal is that the X1 is now playing up, he's tried a few things but it keeps cutting out every 10/15 miles. Once he's stopped for a while it goes again (he had a whole lane closed off at the Dartford Tunnel while they waited for him to start it ).
He's now not far from the Chunnel but currently immobile again. I've text the only number I have of his fellow travellers but if anyone is reading this and has CJ's/Richies can they please let them know.
Also if one of our German friends is reading this - if Kev turns up he needs a bloody great big welcome , that man is a martyr to the cause!

Bloody hell Kev what crap luck. Hope you make it after all.

He's just called me again.
The latest from your "Kevmean dedicated Bueller" correspondant is that he's made it to the Chunnel services and is going to the train now.
He thinks he may have a bank angle sensor problem and so if anyone going to Lauwe reads this please can someone take ECM spy with them so he can sort it.
