Indeed. Having to share garage space with the CR obviously put Muffin out a bit, so she decided to play up.

I just got home as well. About to step into the shower. Kev's had some pretty rotten luck, but at the same time he was quite lucky too. I saw him pull over on the A25 in France and caught up with him on the hard shoulder. I then stuck with him and we eventually managed to organize (thanks to my Dutch spy in Lauwe) a recovery van to get him up to Lauwe. He took the bank angle sensor out there and the bike actually ran without the thing discconnected (only the ECU light on in the dash), but it looks like that wasn't the problem in the end. The bike just runs for 10-20 miles and then dies without warning. 10 mins later it starts again.... bizarre! I didn't know Buells had electrical issues! lOl

Anyways. A big thank you once again to the Twin-Power chaps from Belgium for puttin on a great party, lovely BBQ and some "interesting" bands.... :hehe: For those who weren't there, just picture Iggy Pop's poor cousin jumping around on stage :coat:

We got cornered with Doeske and asked to come on stage to celebrate the first Twin Power Couple ever. The same could be said for the UKbeg and Dutch Buell Forum. If we'll ever have children they'll be the bastard son's and daughters of the UKBEG and Durch forums... :ner:

Hope Kev's going to find out what the heck is wrong with that bike... AND WHERE's all the bloody photos?? :handbag:

And the CR obviously felt inadequate next to a *real* Buell with it's orignal bearings, and decided to play up too...

He should have bought an XB...

Last time I had a problem like Kev's, it was the coil breaking down when warm. It was a VW camper though. :oooops:

There's no truth in the rumour that we're never at home at weekends - it just seems like it. We've had another cracking weekend riding motorcycles - a 694 mile round trip for excellent food and good company.

We would like to thank the Twin-Power team for putting on such a great event. It was truly an international affair with Buell enthusiasts from Belgium, Holland, Germany, France and England.

Kev - you don't have to be mad to be a Buell owner, but it helps. Your dogged determination to get to Lauwe (using at least five different vehicles) is an inspiration to us all :worthy:...

Our highlights of the weekend included touring around the Poperinge and Ypres region on Saturday afternoon in blazing hot sunshine, riding through a monsoon this morning on the way back to Calais and this afternoon being struck by a kamikaze pigeon on the A1. It hit my right hand and handlebar. Both my bike and I survived the experience but the same can't be said of the pigeon. Jane, who was following behind, rode through a shower of feathers and guts ...

Great weekend and good to see everyone. Thanks to everyone at Twinpower for organising such a good party and being such great hosts  Special thanks to De Walt who not only bought Kev his first beer but also did the same for every other Brit there

Just wrote a very long reply ripping the piss out of Kevmean but accidentally deleted it so will revisit my tale of "Jonah and his Sympathy Shags" in the morning. Before your minds start working overtime on this new gossip it isn't a factual account of Kev's activities this weekend more a revelation which has come to me about his success with women in general related to the normal traumas in his life which are so often self inflicted. Poor Kev  I don't think so lOl

Steve

Another great weekend in Belgium!
Not too many of us meeting at the services, just me & Steve.
Some one called Kev had some lame excuse for not turning up!

Didn't take many pics, one of Richie trying to win a spring he doesn't need, the other of the happy couple. Sorry about the quality, taken on a phone after the bar opened.....

A big thank you to everyone involved in the BBQ, the bikes are great, but it's the people that make it!

Steve's obviously too modest, as I don't think he's mentioned that his bike came third in the best Buell contest

The prize was a Euro drinking voucher which we helped him to turn into beer ASAP lOl

Looking at the size of my beer gut....I may well need that spring...sooner rather that later

Thanks to all involved for a great weekend, Lauwe is only a short ride (hour or so) from Calais, so you people who have never been, I recomend you give it a try. Always warm welcome and a great party, no to mention the top class BBQ (top notch pro chef) 10 out of 10, Thanks again :sun: :sun: :sun:
