OK Kev,
how about start her up
then go around , wiggling the loom, ign. switch cable ,
kill switch cables, coil high and low tension cables, basically trying to cause the fault , while stationary.

Is there a temp sensor on the bike? If there is would that cause it to stop running?

Rear cylinder temp sensor should just make it go into skip spark mode on the rear only if it thinks engine is too hot.

Could that have a fault and cause it to skip spark both cylinders. If it cuts the spark out to the rear could it effect the front?

What should fuel pump output from ecm be?.............when i power on it is 12v but while engine was running looked to only be about 2 volts as well? does it self regulate depending on demand ?

Fuel pump output is switched to ground by the ECM, so will be 12V with pump off and should be around 0V when on.

Another question: what happens to the speedo if the engine stalls? Is it immediately dropping to 0 or does is still show the real speed while rolling?

ECM, speed sensor, BAS, injectors and coil(s) are feed by the same power supply (grey cable), so if there's a problem with power, it speed should immediately drop to zero.

Let me know if you want to borrow a temp sensor to try...

Speedo shows real time speed after the engine cuts out .

Kev, try checking the pump connections, LHS below the tank, or, with the amount of miles you've racked up, your fuel filter, as it might be getting near it's sell by date.

Apologies if any of these have been already tried.
