And so are we - the arrangements have been all very last minute but I feel sure it will have been worth all the hassle.

I never thought I'd see the words 'romantic' and 'Gateshead' in the same sentence :D...

Me neither Chris, but tickets to see Suzanne Vega at the Sage changes the notion somewhat ... 8-)

Was up at Siverstone bright and early this morning to meet up with CJ and JJ and get the mini marquee put up. Hooked up with Albert666 and Sir Wazzzz who had been up even earlier to get their track time in. They tell me their Buells were the quickest bikes out there :) Not often you get to see 140 on the clock legally lOl

Sadly Silverstone's level of organisation has continued in the way we have come to expect so, on visiting the Ticket Collection Point and then the main reception, no-one knew anything about vehicle passes for UKBEG :headbang:

As always, CJ to the rescue  Anyone due to arrive later today, or on Saturday and Sunday, make sure you have CJ's number and someone will come to meet you with your vehicle pass. The UKBEG area is easy to find. Straight in through the main entrance, across the bridge then left at the roundabout. You'll see the orange and black Black Bear marquee bedecked with blue Buell banners on the raised area above the manufacturer's display area.

I'm hoping to drop back up there for a while on Saturday evening then back all day Sunday.

Look forward to seeing you all there 8-)

Steve

Ok then, message from CJ.

Vehicle passes for MotoGP. Make your way to the Main entrance Ticket Collection Office, this is the first entrance not the second as originally planned. Park up at the office and phone CJ on his mobile 07926265582 and he will come out to you with the passes.

You will then need to buy CJ or Jane a cup of tea to say thank you :D

big big thank you to cj and jane for setting this all up, and an even bigger thank you for getting us the track time :)
even if it was only 3 laps and i still managed to run out of track/talent on the start/finish section.
big thanks to sreve at black bear for the marquee as well, we needed it in the afternoon with the rain.
silverstone organisation though, bloody hopeless though
david who was in charge of the track time was very good, and his staff but the general staff etc on the gates and ticket offices etc, don't know their arse from their elbow and not really helpful.
will be back on sunday hopefully in the sun :)

Apart from the bit about the track session, cos I was stuck in work, Everything Al said. Well done Chris and thanks.

Don't like to brag about living so close to Silverstone but saw the last race and just got home, time for a coffee then back to the circuit in the Disco to pick up the mini marquee.

Great day's racing and great company :yup: Very workmanlike display from Lorenzo who just pissed off at the start and led by miles. Rather more exciting racing in the Moto2 and 125GP where we had Brits putting in a respectable performance in both. Well done to Scott Redding and Bradley Smith

Thanks to CJ and JJ for organising everything and to everyone else for their company including OF and FF who put in a brief appearance while slumming it away from the pikey wagon lOl

Wooah... Great Weekend!!! All the above & fantastic to be a Bueller... I have a Lobster face too but not from the embarrassment of running off the circuit... :worthy: As you pointed out Albert, once you'd shown 'em the fast line they all followed... :yup: Thanks to Norry for witnessing my moment of (comedy) shame; I'll never trust a tripod seat again...

Brilliant fun & glad to say the CR performed faultlessly... Funny how the non-Buellers liked the (ahem) red muffler while the stalwarts were politely disgusted... My thanks for your discretion, except for Spook, who was very frank... :o

Three excellent races that I watched from Stowe, where there was much overtaking & argy-bargy... Great scrap for the podium in all three classes... Silverstone did us proud in that respect... :yup:

Ran home across country & enjoyed a beautiful sunny English countryside... Ah; Elysium... :sun: :sun: :sun:

Despite all the obstacles put in my way by Silverstone  it's been a cracking weekend at the Moto GP - and all of it was shared with exceptional people from UKBEG :worthy:...

I'm too knackered now so I'll post a full report and pictures tomorrow.
