I've confirmed with Patrick that everything is OK for Sunday. Meet between 10.30 and 11.00 am at Harleyworld as planned.

Harleyworld web site: here

Just so there's no misunderstanding - lunch isn't free this time. We'll have to pay as there's no Buell events budget this year, for obvious reasons.

And finally, the weather forecast looks promising for Sunday

Yep great day as Tig's said .......was good to meet up with everybody again ....great location ......but expensive place not to get pissed in lOl coke £2.80 a pint :o
Peeled off for an icecream in Mattlock bath and left others to continue on their journey....got chatting to a couple who stopped to look at the CR and they start telling me about a guy that they new that a few years ago went to work in the states and brought an S1 white lightning back................fuck me the only people i chat to in Matlock and they happen to know the one and only Maz lOl and were from Stockport :)
Had a good ride bike but could have done with Tigs with me when i stopped to assist at he scene of a serious rta where a Passat had barrel rolled through the air after hitting a traffic island .....two very shaken young lads about 5 years old in the back but thankfully uninjured ........how their gran managed to survive in the front passenger seat i don't know as that area of the roof had taken the full impact from front and side....................Very brave lady though despite a very painful chest injury and quite bad gash to the back of her head.
Stopped at willingham for a cuppa on the way home so got over 200miles in and thankfully the CR ran perfect and for the first time for months ths Tomtom which i'd fitted judt to test charged fully all day long after i changed yet another mount ( the one i took off had totally unworn pins but when checked with a meter was giving no output at all  )
So thanks to CJ for organising and Patrick for the lunch :yup:

A perfect day, helped in no small part by the people we shared it with and the glorious weather :sun:...

Huge thanks to Patrick for planning and leading the ride through the Peak District and for taking care of lunch at the Knockerdown Inn - totally unexpected and much appreciated!

There were 8 Buells*, 1 Guzzi, 1 Honda and 1 Suzuki at today's event. Thanks to all of you who attended :worthy:...

* 4 x Ulysses, 1 x 1125R, 1 x 1125CR, 1 x M2 Cyclone and 1 x X1 Lightning.

The ride through the Peak District was spot on, we managed to avoid the busy areas and rode through some stunning scenery and picturesque villages.

It was great to see Paul (Smarty) and his son, Alex, on his M2, with his wife, Catherine riding the X1 Lightning. A good looking family unit on classic Buells.....

Most of group picture: left to right, Dave, Paul, Brian, Catherine, Alex (front), Kev, Claire, Jane and Rick.

After a hard day riding an 1125R Patrick rides home on a Honda DN01 :hehe:....

Together with Patrick we're going to organise another UKBEG Peak District BBQ at the Knockerdown Inn sometime in September.

What a fantastic day :yup: , thoroughly enjoyed by all three of us. Both bikes behaved faultlessly, neither missing a beat for just under 200 miles. Although the X1 desperately needs a new Rocker cover gasket now…there’s oil everywhere… :o

Really nice to see and spend time with friends old and new today.

Thank so much to CJ & Jane and Patrick for organising a great day out :4roz: , special thanks to Patrick for the superb lunch :worthy: .

Thanks for posting some excellent pictures CJ. You have certainly got the hang of the weather machine :sun:

Looking forward to East Kirkby next weekend… :yup:

Did you come past us at Saundby on "Blues & twos"? We pulled out of the way for you.... I wasn't sure if you were travelling to or from the Accident that Kev had seen/helped out at.
