OK I promise not to bite if you all take the P out of me but I'm hoping for some worth while comments.
I need to make my mind up what to do about exhaust and possible fueling. Having recently had my bike running lovely without fault (apart from the anoying fan on all the time) I decided to refit my Free Spirits exhaust system. Having given it a good run over a few rides I've come to the conclusion I need to do something with my fuelling if I want to keep the FS exhaust cause it's popping more on over run and feels like its running slightly lumpy at idle and slow running.
What I've learned form this whole afair is that the ECU on my bike does not adjust well enough to a full exhaust system so I have some choices to make and I would be grateful if people in the know could advise...
Choice 1: ECU + software kit from Twinmotorcycles for my Free Spirits exhaust, 1x time download of a remap. £185 approx.
Choice 2: Buy EBR full ECM kit to self program + dyno and tune with local dyno technician or anyone else that comes recommended. £645 approx.
Choice 3: Original headers + buy a stealth + sell Free Spirits System.
Having clocked up over 800 miles recently with stock exhaust (considering stock exhaust rusts quicker than a car in salt water) I would still want to fit an after market exhaust can if nothing else but I'm tempted to go for choice 2!
The bottom line is I have to do something but don't know what. I'm curious about the sound of a stealth on my bike but I have also invested alot of money in my Free Spirits system, plus is looks so cool and turns heads?
