Whats involved in taking off the exhaust Adam? Is it a long and bloody knuckle job?
From memory, loosen the tensioner pulley bracket and remove the two cap head bolts from the back of the can. Make sure you undo the rear axle and slacken the belt first

There's two bolts at the front of the can, the l/h one has a nut that can be tricky unless you've got a suitable swivel head ring spanner (Maz uses a crowsfoot) in which case it's a piece of piss
Then there's the two clamps onto the header.
Once the strainer cover is off, use long nose pliers to pull the screen out. Be very careful with the small bolts that hold the cover on when torquing them up, if you over tighten them I think you could easily strip them - use a torque wrench if you're in doubt. I forget the torque value but it ain't very much, nor need it be.
Other than that, use common sense and you'll find it very simple and you will get satisfaction in knowing you're not getting raped at £90 per hour or similar
