It was great to meet youse guys. I had a real good time (short as it was) and enjoyed the roads and time we had.

I will make more of these get togethers.

Sounds great :-) If it's in early or late September I could eventually join in.

Le grand weekend et Ardennes woz magnifique :P...

We arrived home at 6.05 pm after 1,140 totally dry miles....

That was one of the best UKBEG riding events we've ever held. Fantastic company + great roads + stunning scenery + glorious weather :sun: = the perfect recipe for a successful weekend.

We'd like to thank Mev, Patrick, Raymond, Michael (sp?), Gunter, Eugene, John, Kathryn and Joe for making it so memorable :worthy:...

Full report and pictures follow.....

I chose Walcourt as the location for the Ardennes weekend because it offered reasonably priced accommodation with enough rooms to cater for the expected numbers of riders. What I didn't realise was that it was so picturesque - riding into the centre of the town for the first time fair takes your breath away.

Our base for the weekend, the Confluences B&B. It's located in the centre of Walcourt, opposite the fountain and....

next to this rather impressive church....

We didn't go hungry...

Assorted V-twins. There were 6 Buells, 2 Ducatis and 2 Guzzis in our group over the weekend...

Saturday's tour - 'somewhere in Belgium'. Together with Patrick, Gunter did a fine job of planning and leading the ride. We travelled on some of the best roads in the region and through the best scenery. I wish I could have stopped to take a few more pictures during the tour but it would have spoilt the ride.

Apologies ladies, it's not the best group picture I've ever taken. Left to right, Kathryn, John, Mev, Patrick, Eugene, Gunter, Michael and Jane...

One of the best parts of the long weekend was the mixture of people who attended. Plenty of laughs and great camaraderie.

Sunday - a visit to Bastogne and various other points of interest regarding the German counterattack (Battle of the Bulge) in December 1944...
