Fowlers have a Honda building. It is a bit shite and sterile though...

i stand corrected, when did that happen, everything used to be in the same building, clothes on the bottom, bikes in the middle and cafe up top. (not been for about 3 years now though)

I prefer (ladies) bottoms without clothes

Don't want to sound like a dick but Warrs in mottingham is in Kent Roz. I'll still be taking my Buell to BB would rather do the round trip up there than the 20 min ride to either of the Warrs dealers.

Sounds like really good advice to me. These peoples "Buell" future is uncertain, so I think its up to us to give them due support.

Ah yes, of course it is, though to me that qualifies as a London dealer. I hadn't used The Foundry since the first service on my firebolt anyway and BB is my closest (reliable) dealer. It just seemed daft to me to close a shop that's out on it's own but known for miles. Not for Buells but it has a huge HOG following. People I know would travel there from London to avoid Warrs.

The writing's on the wall for some. Would you buy a Japanese sports bike from a Harley salesman or would you be happy to spend over £10K on a Victory for it to be looked after by someone who has never seen one before?

If Fowlers looked like that, I would be visiting them every weekend and after work...

I received a letter from Robinsons The Foundry this morning, my local Harley (and therefore Buell) dealer. It says:

"Contrary to recent speculation, Robinsons Foundry will not be closing its doors to customers in September 2010.

However, due to unexpected external business pressures, we have been given the opportunity to reorganise our sales strategy.

As from September 2010 the Harley Davidson side of the business will no longer be franchised here at The Foundry.

These arrangements do not affect the service dept, aftersales dept, Suzuki showroom and Suzuki mail order dept."

So, whipping away the spin, what do you all reckon's going on here then?

At the Foundry they have/had a seperate building/workshop for HD/Buells and another for its other brands. Maybe they are no longer getting the sales or service work anymore for its HD stuff. The last time I was there they were selling HD branded cat bowls and other such stuff .

Lets be fair on this. The hard core HD biker do there own thing and does not buy a £20k Glide or (most) take there bike to a dealer for a service past the warranty period. Its not the HOG thing and apart from anything else its not needed. If you cant do a basic service on a HOG yourself then :headbang:.

IMO reading between the lines of any situation is like playing Russian roulette with an Automatic. I would say ask them if you have any questions about said letter.
