The Remus has a nasty crack in it near where it connects to the headers.

HD are probably responsible for this but have just told me to get fucked when I told them I'd like it replaced.

This was expected. It cost me a lot of bananas and with twins on the way I cannot afford to just skip it.

I also won't trust them to take it off/refit to the bike, so am really asking If any on you can weld and wouldn't mind giving me a hand removing/ welding/refitting. Beer tokens and I can travel a bit from base (Surrey)

Thanks

Adam is a welding instructor and Albert makes rather tasty exhausts :)

I had the same, got mine welded at work, The front header stud had been stripped at some stage. I rotated the engine and drilled and tapped a fresh stud in. It has been fine since.

Ideally, go somewhere that can Tig weld. They won't charge very much. I've had a very poor experience with the welding on a Remus can that I fitted to my 1125. 'Twas fine when I did it properly :D
