IIRC didn't Ducati suffer from fuel filler cap seal problems a few years ago in the us , wrong spec seal been eaten by ethonal .

Ethanol can cause some plastics to swell, Ducati plastic tanks did this in the USA and had to be replaced.

Some fuel pumps have plastic components that can also swell when exposed to ethanol. Some Yamaha models are affected by this.
