It´s been a while. Busy times here with it being refit time of year in the super yacht industry!
Anyhow, after some kindly help from Pash

with ecm spy and a cable, I managed to clear the fault codes, and run a test. Everything tested OK and the faults never came back again after cranking.
But the Old War Horse still refused to play....
Then I read a post over on the dark side, and some blokes bike had similar symptom's to War Horse.
I decided to stick a pressure gauge on the fuel line.
Turn on ignition, flip kill switch to run, whirr... Nada! Nothing, Zilch!
So I drained the tank, and while it was draining, I flicked the ignition on again. Whirr... it didn´t come out any faster.
Took the fuel pump out of the tank, and look what I found...
The filter was like an old tea bag, and just fell apart in my fingers.
A new fuel pump, and while I had it in bits, a new fuel pressure regulator from Duane at Fuel Performance for less than a 100 quid, and the bike fired up last night, second prod of the button, and went straight into a smooth and steady idle.
