suggest you try fit your system and see how you get on, you may be OK. Have done about 750 miles now on mine and the clearance is holding position. I am still unhappy with the excessive weight of the can and think that if I have a problem then I would have a can made up with a smaller outer in a lighter material. My feeling is that the sheer weight of the Buell item is a problem in itself as it must put a lot of strain at the front joint to the header pipe because the rear mount is effectively a hinge.
I have done over 30000 miles with the race system on the X1 and apart from a couple of easily repaired cracked front mounts have had no other problems with it...Maz has designed a new front mount to get rid of the problem I have had ......just make sure you use the later type inverted Y style front mount hanger
