i try :)
nothing seems to fit the shape of the bike great though
i've been looking at the rc8 and it all seems to fit nicely
damn that erik buell :)
to get something to fill all the space is gonna be very hard.
maybe i should just bung a fairing on it

I reckon that will work well with one of those spanish full fairings.

I also think your latest exhaust is more in keeping with the bike this one from GPR http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Buell-1125R-CR-Ex ... 1e5bb2f26e which I haven't yet decided if if I like or not

I think it's about time you "lent" this "lord of tubes" one of the "chosen few" and let him do a nice new TUBER Version. The ultimate offering is stunning.

Albert am already going down the fairing path, have made some chin ones for standard can but with the big front not a lot to play with, your last can looks great, at the moment making them out of ally welded, but once aftermarket ready can make a plug and mould, I will have one of the last can, and will make belly pan / chin to fit and post pics, pm me with price etc. Cheers

tonight i have noise tested the latest can, which i have been running in for a week now, it measured 104db @5000rpm, idles @ 98db
for a comparison i tried a scorpion 'chambered' can from a cbr600rr as its about the same size as my oval can
the scorpion idled @ 105db!!!!!!!!
i know it was designed for an i-4 but jesus!
a chap over the road from work has a bike breakers, he also owns an r1 with aftermarket cans, he was noise tested recently at a track at 103db,
his friend with a duke with termi's measured 120db
needless to say he didn't get on track
so thats where we're at
i tried an additional silencer but it spoils the lines of the bike and didn't really do diddly squat towards noise reduction.
i think 104-105 is where its gonna end up :headbang:

:yup: Most tracks would find that acceptable I think, apart from their 'quiet' days where not much passes in any case. Nice one 8-)
Got any photos or is it the Reverso type?

adam go back a couple of pages, its the 'tri oval'
not really a finished saleable thing, just more of an experiment
the oval i think will stay as my main offering :)

did a track day today at castle combe today... rode up but always planned to ride a friends trackbike there... just before lunch had the reverso tested 110dba at the required revs, distance etc.... however it was a peak of 113 on start up... with that first bang

played with an RC8 today ( i was on a duc 999) they do look good, and sound nice.... guy rode like a mobile chicane... but bike looked really good :yup:

buell got a lot of looks and positive comments today :yup: ... and i had a ball on my mates track bike... would love to have had the buell on the track but maybe next time.
