That's a shame ... Sunday looks like being the better day both for weather & Buelligan attendance ... :(

Chris and Jane's most excellent weekend - part 1:

A great day at Cadwell Park. We met up with friends from UKBEG and experienced classic racing at its best, at one of the best tracks in the UK. The weather wasn't the best unfortunately with cloudy skies and a cold wind, but at least it stayed dry.

If you've never been to a CRMC race meet then we recommend you try and catch one next year - or tomorrow. They're a petrol heads dream with such a diverse selection of machinery being used in anger and you have full access to the paddock. Everyone's so friendly and approachable, riders and mechanics will gladly spare you the time to chat about their machines.

UKBEG Meat - left to right, Mark, Sarah, Jane, Kim and Kev...

A selection of tasty machinery in the paddock...

Italian :P - mostly Ducati singles and bevel drive twins. No Guzzi's this year :(...

British - a great selection including plenty of BSA/Triumph triples....

Japanese - I've a soft spot for four-cylinder bikes from the 80's, especially big Kwackers...

Just back from a brilliant day at Cadwell. A really good turn out to see Brock win his class and take race of the year. It was so good to see everyone again. Rick even managed to chase a slinky little lady with a curvy behind out of Cadwell until we turned off onto the A631 ( ;) Digger). As we were leaving we saw a white firebolt? just ahead of us but no idea who the rider was. Rick will post some pics when he finally finds the ones that the bike were going slow enough to capture :hehe: :hehe:

Got dropped home by the AA after calling them at 16.40 :tosser: 's turned up at 19.30. The front engine mount broke on my M2 just as I was more or less within sight of Cadwell Park on Saturday afternoon. After a 100 mile blast across the fens from Black Bear in Newmarket, where I enjoyed a nice meet up and lunch with Ross, Jill and hubbie's and not to forget Kev and son. Shit happens some times (twice in 4 years is not a disaster imo).

All in all a great weekend, with people I am proud to call friends....Spen thanks for the offer of the use of your van, Smarty for the offer of plan B. It got dark, cold and misty while waiting for the recovery truck, I was tempted to call Kevmean (just up the road in Louth) for a cup of hot tea, but I am too much of a gentelman as I knew he was 'entertaining' a blond guest. :yup: :yup:

Well done Brock and Team Spencer on a great season. A special mention should go to the major sponsor Digger Tours who provided the healthy option hospitality on the day - prune juice and oat biscuits! Some fantactic shots there Diggs, especially the mountain wheelies! Great day guys and Cadwell in the sun with classic bikes, what more do you want? Er, a go actually, looking at the ages of the guys on the podium of all the categories, I need to get me old CL450 prepped as a cafe racer and give it a go. 8-)
