Warning!

Wiltshire Constabulary has a new anti-motorcycle zealot.

With his officially calibrated B&Q tape measure, he cruises the highways of the county in his un-marked BMW saloon, looking for heritics with non-standard number plates.
His bat-like hearing is so acute, he can also detect naughty exhausts without the aid of a noise-o-meter.

He's bound to have got himself pencilled in for overtime this coming weekend.

i was going on the Wootton Bassett run
i have registered an sent my donation BUT

reading about "accompanied" rides it sounds like the fun has been squeezed out like a HOG run :headbang:

plus if the Wiltshire pigs are looking for small plates an loud exhausts , dark visors then i need to be elsewhere

sorry people have a good one , be careful out there

Don - it was just as good as last years ride, if not better, and certainly worth us making a weekend of it. There wasn't too much waiting about at Hullavington airfield and today's event was very well organised.

As last year we were going to use both our Guzzi's for the event but because the forecast was pretty bad for today we elected to use the Ulysses. In total contrast to yesterday's ride down in excellent weather :P, after we'd left Wootton Bassett today for the ride back oop norf it was one downpour after another :(. We covered 416 miles in total and it was worth every penny.

UKBEG member 'Phobia' (XB12XT) was also staying at our motel:

What's the odds on parking next to another Buell amongst hundreds of bikes? This is Mark's 06 Ulysses - he lives just 5 miles from the airfield and looks in here occasionally:

The organisers had hoped for 10,000 bikes today and I bet they achieved it:

Never mind Buell-abusa - how about a Busa-abusa......

Good run up with Mev, Banjo, and Taffy, Mev said we was burning lots of fuel, me and Banjo thought we was riding very economically.....as we left a34/m4 services Mevs Harley tripped the odometer past the 77thou mark...Respect m8...mind you it has a Rev Tech engine in it, great run amazing spectators, even managed to miss the rain on the way back, as stopped for some food at services ordered grub they said 5 mins took 25 sat and watched the rain (boy did it come down) whilst we ate then road home in the dry....result....got back to the Admiral Drake full on party :yup: band and buffet put on, walked home ...LOL

What a great day out! Blackrag, when I said 'keep the speed below 90' I was being ironic. I didn't think you would tramp on at 89.5 mph
Best bit was the ride through Wooton Bassett giving the kiddy winks low fives as we rode through.
Oi Mirman! You show me another 22 year old girl that hasn't had a touch up and a good sorting.

I got pulled on it and the officer gave me the option of specifying why I'd been pulled so I began with speed because I might have been a couple over

No,

Noise,

No,

Passing you filtering,

No,

Then he told me that it was the number plate and that they've got some extreme punishment system for it now so I should change it. I think it was a new driving test or something.

NEVER say anything , you are just giving them chance for you to admit to stuff they may have missed.

stick to " i have no idea officer "
